Professor Romuald Szczęsny award is a prestigious award granted since 2002 by the Mayor of Gdynia to the most talented graduates of the Gdańsk University of Technology. The main goal of the award is to commemorate the prematurely deceased resident of Gdynia, a professor at Gdańsk University of Technology and a former dean of the Faculty of Electrical and Control Engineering.
The winner of the competition will receive the main prize of PLN 10,000. Additionally, the Mayor of Gdynia may award three distinctions worth PLN 3,000 each. Diploma theses (engineering and master's) can be submitted to the competition, which have received a very good grade, relate to modern technologies and are characterized by a high degree of innovation.
