Open Day at Gdansk Tech
Stands run by faculties, centres and departments, inspiring hybrid lectures, presentations, demonstrations, laboratories, and showcases of research societies and student projects – visitors certainly had no time to get bored. As every year, the event attracted a great deal of interest.
Have you ever wondered if all electricity is the same? Where does it come from in the first place, and can it be stored? The faculty’s hybrid lecture ‘What’s so interesting about electricity?’, broadcast on the university’s YouTube channel and led by Wojciech Rosiński, PhD Eng. attracted a large crowd of students, as always.
The Vice-Dean for Education, Anna Golijanek-Jędrzejczyk, PhD DSc Eng., Associate professor, explained to prospective students the principles of studying at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Automation. The teaching process, the course structure and admissions at faculty level – the Vice-Dean was available to discuss everything related to education.
The faculty stand in the tent city in front of the main building was besieged by prospective students. The faculty barbecue, organised by the Faculty Student Council, has become a tradition of ours. The queue – nothing new; our barbecues are unrivalled!
FOKA, or the Forum of Academic Organisations and Clubs, is a project designed for students of Gdańsk Tech and secondary school pupils. The event takes place during the Gdańsk Tech Open Day. Our student clubs were present, as always.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the faculty staff and students involved in organising the Open Day!
See you next year!
