WEiA at the SOLAR ENERGY EXPO 2026 trade fair | Faculty of Electrical and Control Engineering at the Gdańsk University of Technology

The fair brought together manufacturers, distributors, experts and investors interested in the future of renewable energy. Representatives of government institutions, industry media and non-governmental organisations were also present.

The event was attended by 315 exhibitors from 35 countries. Companies presented the latest solutions in the renewable energy industry: photovoltaic panels, energy storage systems, inverters, mounting structures, management systems and zero-emission technologies.

The Faculty of Electrical and Control Engineering was the only university faculty present at the fair. Representatives of the faculty - Marek Olesz, PhD DSc Eng., Associate professor, Jacek Katarzyński, PhD Eng. and Artur Cichowski, PhD Eng., Associate professor., presented how we connect the world of science with business and support entrepreneurs, scientists and students in the implementation of innovative projects and the development of academic entrepreneurship.

Our scientists presented a comprehensive range of energy generation module research in accordance with NC RfG requirements in cooperation with the Institute of Power Engineering in Warsaw.

Agnieszka Kania, MA, Innovation Broker at the Technology Transfer Centre of Gdańsk University of Technology, provided support during business talks.
