Transfer of safety automation devices by Rockwell Automation company

On October 22, 2025, a meeting with representatives of Rockwell Automation company was held in the Council Hall of the Faculty of Electrical and Control Engineering at Gdańsk University of Technology. – Mr. Andrzej Skowronek (Intelligent Devices Business Manager) and Mr. Krzysztof Wicenbach (Team Leader End User – Heavy Industry/Tire & Rubber Poland).

The faculty was represented by:

  • Mirosław Wołoszyn, PhD, DSc Eng., Associate professor – Dean of the Faculty,
  • Marcin Śliwiński, PhD, DSc Eng., Associate professor – Vice-Dean for Academic Affairs, Head of the Department of Automation,
  • Emilian Piesik, PhD, Eng. – Assistant Professor at the Department of Automation.

Thanks to the commitment of Dr. Emilian Piesik, PhD, Eng., and cooperation with Michelin Polska company., Rockwell Automation company donated safety automation devices to the faculty, which will enable the construction of two laboratory stations in the field of machine safety. The equipment will enrich the Automation and Visualization Systems Laboratory, supervised by Emilian Piesik PhD, Eng.

The new stations will allow students to gain practical skills in the design and operation of industrial automation systems, taking into account safety standards.

We would like to express our sincere thanks to Rockwell Automation Sp. z o. o. for their valuable contribution to the development of our faculty's teaching facilities.
