The Prof. Romuald Szczęsny Competition has been decided!

The Prof. Romuald Szczęsny Award has been presented since 2002 by the Mayor of Gdynia to the most talented graduates of Gdańsk Tech.

The Prof. Romuald Szczęsny Award was won by Marina Galanina, MSc Eng., a graduate of the Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Computer Science, for her master's thesis entitled “Development of a bilingual automatic speech transcription system for analyzing the correlation between intracranial EEG signal results and cognitive functions in patients with epilepsy.” The thesis was prepared under the supervision of Prof. Eng. Bożena Kostek.
 
Honorable mentions were awarded to:

  • Natalia Zalewska, M.Sc. (Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Computer Science), “Production of a flexible electrode coated with PEDOT:PSS conductive polymer to improve the neural interface” (supervised by Karolina Cysewska, PhD Eng.).
  • Jakub Łęcki, M.Sc. (Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Computer Science), “Improving the reliability of wireless communication in IoT systems using an ESPAR antenna” (supervised by Łukasz Kulas, PhD, DSc Eng., Associate professor).
  • Benedykt Sikorski, M.Sc. (Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Computer Science), “CHIPLESS RFID tags in LTCC technology in the millimeter wave range” (supervisor – Krzysztof Nyka, PhD, DSc Eng., Associate professor).
