Spring cruise of Automation Students' Science Club

The Automation Students' Science Club (supervisor Tomasz Adam Rutkowski, PhD Eng.) together with the Chemists' Club once again set off to the waters of the Baltic Sea to continue environmental research. Using an underwater drone, 40 water samples were taken from 10 of the same locations sampled in previous cruises. We now look forward to analysing and comparing the results - to see how the water quality changes from season to season.
The underwater drone was built as part of the project “Investigating seasonal variability in the level of ecosystem services in the Baltic Sea” (Plutonium Supporting Student Research Teams programme).
Science+passion+adventure=the perfect combination.
