On April 16, we had the honor of hosting representatives of the Żywiec Group, employees of the Elblag Brewery, at the faculty.

Mr. Daniel Ruminski and Mr. Piotr Jakimowicz led a lecture for third-year students of Automation, Robotics and Control Systems, entitled “Specifics of work in Maintenance in the Zywiec Group on the example of Elblag Brewery with particular emphasis on automation”. The issues discussed included the topics of protocols and communication networks in modern automation and production process control systems.

Mr. Tomasz Miks, HR Manager, acquainted the students with the specifics of the Elblag Brewery's operations, encouraging them to visit and do student internships.

The Elblag Brewery has been part of the Żywiec Group since 1999. Since then it has undergone a number of modernizations. It currently occupies an area of about 6.5 hectares. The high quality of products, produced in Elblag, was confirmed, among other things, in 2018, by the Elblag Brewery winning the Bronze Total Productive Management Award. This is one of the most important awards given to Heineken Group breweries in the world. By the way, this is not the first success of Elblag brewers - in March 2010 it was recognized as the best Heineken brewery in Central and Eastern Europe. At the same time, the brewery pays great attention to the quality and safety of work - as confirmed by: Golden Card of the Leader of Safe Work, awarded by the Central Institute for Labor Protection, and the position of laureate of the national competition of the State Labor Inspectorate “Employer - organizer of safe work”.
