Faculty representatives at Energa Gdansk Marathon

maraton
Faculty representatives on 6 April participated in the marathon - a celebration of runners held for the seventh time in Gdańsk, this time under the slogan ‘Run in the city of freedom!’.

After a three-year break, the marathon returned to the city streets. The route ran through the most picturesque corners of the city and the start and finish, located at the Polsat Plus Arena Gdańsk stadium, gave the event a unique character.
Bartosz Puchalski, Ph.D., an employee of the Department of Intelligent Control Systems and Decision Support, took 55th place among 1503 participants in the marathon over a distance of 42 195 m, while Konrad Seklecki, Ph.D., from the Department of Electrical Power Engineering, took 1307th place.
Students of Energy Technologies participated in the 5 km run. Piotr Brudło took 2nd place and Szymon Biadała 9th, out of 352 runners.
The unfavourable weather conditions did not take away our representatives' sporting enthusiasm and they finished the run with high marks.
Congratulations!
