Golden Lions 2024 - Student Artists
This is the tenth edition of the plebiscite. The “Golden Lions” gala was held on November 28 at the Academic Club “Square”.
During the gala the most active PG students, student organizations, scientific circles, as well as initiatives undertaken by PG students were awarded. Statues were awarded in 12 categories.
In the Student Artist category, the winner was Mateusz Golan, a fifth-semester student majoring in Automation, Robotics and Control Systems.
This is what Mateusz says about his passion: “Photography has been my passion accompanying me for seven years now. It is a way for me to convey to others my perspective on the world around me. I have a special love for traditional photography on light-sensitive material. I try to pass on my knowledge of photography to others, which is my reason for becoming president of the Student Chronicle.”
Jakub Trzeciak, a third-semester student majoring in Automation, Robotics and Control Systems, took second place in the same category.
“For the past two years, I have been participating in the community life of the Brass Band located at the Szemud Municipality, as a trumpet player. We have performed on many different stages in Poland, as well as abroad. With our presence we honored events of a religious, patriotic, charitable, as well as entertainment nature. I myself also managed to show up at festivities organized by the Gdansk University of Technology: Open Day of the university, during which I had the opportunity to play from the top of the clock tower of the main building, as well as during the Faculty Christmas Eve of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Automation. On a daily basis, I study Automation Robotics and Control Systems and play the guitar, piano and trumpet.” - admits Kuba.
Our sincere congratulations!
