Greenectra training at WEiA

Dr Frank Richter
At the beginning of 2023, the Faculty of Electrical and Control Engineering concluded a cooperation agreement with the Estonian company Greenectra. Thanks to the newly established cooperation, the company's representative, Dr. Frank Richter, will conduct three trainings for students and employees of the Faculty.

The Greenectra company, based in Tallinn/Estonia, conducts training in the field of electric batteries. It directs trainings, at various levels of advancement, mainly to students and industrial partners.

The scope of cooperation between the company and the Faculty includes:

  • conducting joint scientific research on lithium-ion batteries,
  • training and scientific internships,
  • using the research capabilities of both parties, including in particular the research potential of the LINTE^2 laboratory.

The concluded agreement will be an opportunity for both parties for fruitful development in the field of scientific research and will enable the acquisition of new knowledge.

The first three trainings conducted by Dr. Frank Richter from Greectra will take place in April 2023:

April 13, 2023, at 16:00 - Introduction to lithium-ion batteries

The most important information about lithium-ion batteries will be presented, the principle of battery operation will be explained, as well as the basic dependencies and terminology used.

April 20, 2023 16:00 - Introduction to the aging of lithium-ion batteries

The main factors and aging processes of lithium-ion batteries will be explained. The phenomenon of loss of capacity and other battery parameters will be presented.

April 27, 2023, at 16:00 - Introduction to the issue of testing lithium-ion batteries

The procedures for electrical testing of lithium-ion batteries and methods of conducting aging tests and safety tests will be discussed.

All trainings will be held remotely using the MS Temas platform. The time of each meeting is about 45 minutes. Lectures will be conducted in English.
