Beanus Day at WEiA

On October 25, 2022, the Beanus Day celebration was held at the Faculty of Electrical and Control Engineering.

Invited guests, faculty employees and students listened to the speeches of the Dean of the Faculty, Vice-Dean for Education, President of the Faculty Student Council and Vice-Rector for Internationalization and Innovation. The dean of the faculty thanked the retiring employees - D.Sc. Eng. Krzysztof Karwowski, prof. GUT and prof. Kazimierz Kosmowski, expressing appreciation and gratitude for many years of professional work, serving knowledge and experience.

As every year, the Dean Ludwik Referowski Award was granted for an outstanding graduate of the faculty. The winner of the award in the academic year 2021/2022 was M.Sc. Eng. Zuzanna Klawikowska.

The Award of the Association of Polish Electrical Engineers in the 9th edition of the "Competition for the best engineering diploma thesis" was presented. The award went to Stanisław Pomykacz and Jakub Redmerski for the work entitled "PLC controller as a multi-protocol communication gateway for the RNN station in the LINTE^2 Laboratory" (thesis supervisor: Andrzej Augusiak, Ph.D. Eng., professor of GUT).

The prize of the Association of Polish Electrical Engineers in the "Competition for the most active SEP wheel" in 2021 was awarded to the Student Circle of SEP of the Gdańsk University of Technology (Gdańsk Branch) - 1st place in Group S.
