Faculty of Electrical and Control Engineering Holiday 2022
Employees and students of the faculty as well as invited guests from the Gdańsk University of Technology and from the economic environment, as well as a representative of the Marshal's Office gathered at the LINTE^2 Laboratory. The ceremony was attended by the Rector, prof. Janusz Nieznański, former deans of WEiA: reader Ludwik Referowski, founder of the Dean Ludwik Referowski award, prof. Kazimierz Jakubiuk, prof. Leon Swędrowski, prof. Roman Śmierzchalski, deans and directors of GUT Centers, employees, students and representatives of many companies, including: ASE, PZU-Lab, Eco-consult, SEP Odzial Gdańsk, Energa-Operator, Arex, Northvolt, Techno-Serwis, Elektrownia Wodna Żarnowiec and representatives companies from the Hydrogen Group H2.
The gathered guests were welcomed by the Dean of the Faculty, prof. Mirosław Wołoszyn, who presented the Faculty's achievements in recent years, informing about the creation of a new first-cycle degree program, Hydrogen technologies and electromobility, and post-graduate studies in Nuclear Power Engineering. Then the Rector, prof. Janusz Nieznański, who presented the achievements and development opportunities of Gdańsk University of Technology related to the "Initiative of Excellence" program - research university (IDUB). After the Rector's speech, the chairman of the Faculty Students' Council (WRS) of WEiA, Eng. Paweł Winiarek. Then the representatives of the sponsors of the Faculty Day, Ph.D. Eng. Stanisław Wojtas (SEP), M.Sc. Rafał Frączek President (Eco-Konsult), Ph.D. Eng. Dariusz Gołębiewski Vice President (PZU-Lab), M.Sc. Eng. Grzegorz Kuczkowski Director (Energa Operator).
After the official speeches, contests and quizzes were waiting for the participants of the Faculty Day. Discussions of employees, students and guests over barbecue specialties were complemented by the opportunity to get to know the Faculty's partner companies. Additionally, many participants of the ceremony learned about the research and development potential of the LINTE^2 Laboratory during a tour of the laboratory's main research hall. The participants commemorated the Feast with signatures on a commemorative plaque.
