Ryszard Wepa
It is with deep regret that we inform you that on June 3, 2017, at the age of 78, died Ryszard Wepa, PhD - retired academic teacher of the Gdańsk University of Technology.

Ryszard Wepa was a graduate and a long-term employee of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering / the Faculty of Electrical and Control Engineering, where in 1965-2004 he worked, initially as an assistant, and after obtaining a doctoral degree in 1974, as an assistant professor at the Department of Electrical Measurement.

In his scientific work, he was involved in, among other things, the research of transducers for power measurement, and his didactic classes concerned the issues of electrical and industrial metrology.

In both roles, scientist and teacher, the late Ryszard Wepa proved to be a very kind person to his colleagues and students. In 1986, for many years of exemplary work at the Gdańsk University of Technology, he was awarded the Gold Cross of Merit.

He will remain in our memory as a warm, modest and extremely hardworking man. We express our deepest sympathy to the family and relatives of the deceased.
