Since 1949, the second building of the Faculty of Electrical and Control Engineering is the building of the pre-war Masonic Lodge at Własna Strzecha str. 18a. The Department of High Voltage, which gave its name to its seat, was located there.
Currently, the building houses the Department of Mechatronics and High Voltage Engineering, established in 2011.
There are a number of important laboratories of the Faculty in the building - the Short Circuit Laboratory, the High Voltage Laboratory, the Laboratory of Electrical Apparatus, the Laboratory of Energy Quality Measurements, the Laboratory of Mechatronics Systems, the Laboratory of Mobile Robots and the Laboratory of Robotics Fundamentals.
In 2013, the largest auditorium hall in the building, WN15, was subjected to a general renovation, at the same time equipped with modern multimedia equipment.
