Are you designing a micro gas turbine power generation system? Designing an air turbine drive for a fuel cell? Designing a high-speed drive for a numerical machine tool? Test your solution on our test bench for high-performance energy conversion systems with high-speed permanent magnet motors (PMSM) and high-speed asynchronous squirrel-cage motors.
The main challenges in designing high-speed drives include:
- Ensuring high efficiency with high dynamic control of high-speed motors
- Dissipating heat during continuous operation of the high-speed motor at full rated power
- Designing inverters to power high-speed motors with a high output voltage frequency in the order of 2kHz.
Request bench tests in our laboratory with two high-speed motors/generators of 6 kW and synchronous speed of 80,000 rpm: PMSM and asynchronous squirrel-cage, powered by 12 kVA, 3x425 V SiC converters, with maximum output frequency fout = 3000 Hz and transistor operating frequency fsw = 60kHz, at 3x400 Vrms, 50 Hz mains supply.
Have us test high-speed drives with precision-controlled SiC power electronic converters with bidirectional energy flow in three modes of operation: (i) powering the high-speed drive, (ii) power generation, (iii) returning the motor braking energy to the three-phase grid:
- Speed control algorithms
- Torque control algorithms
- Power control algorithms
- Inverter PWM voltage generation algorithms at high output voltage frequencies up to 3 kHz.
