On the 11th of February 2020, the Council of the Discipline Automation, Electronics and Electrical Engineering of the Gdańsk University of Technology awarded Ph.D. Eng. Paweł Szczepankowski with the habilitated doctor title in engineering and technical sciences.
The completed habilitation procedure of doctor Szczepankowski is the first procedure at the Faculty of Electrical and Control Engineering, in which the basis for awarding the degree of habilitated doctor was a series of thematically related publications and related original design, construction and technological achievements. Publications and achievements related to the promotion are primarily devoted to pulse width modulation algorithms for multi-level and matrix converters.
Paweł Szczepankowski obtained a PhD degree in technical sciences at the Gdańsk University of Technology in 2009. Currently, he is a research and didactic employee at the Department of Power Electronics and Electrical Machines, as well as a member of the research team of the LINTE^2 Laboratory. His scientific interests relate to the construction, control and modulation of voltage in power electronics converters, and his current publications include more than 40 scientific articles.
